Stellest is an exciting FDA approved program designed to slow down the progression of your child’s nearsightedness. This is the only FDA approved treatment that involves glasses in the US for myopia control. These lenses have been designed with an exclusive and pioneering technology called HALT, which stands for Highly Aspherical Lenslet Target. The HALT technology is made of a constellation of 1,021 invisible lenslets. This constellation creates a volume of myopic defocus, sending a signal to slow eye elongation and myopia progression.
After an exam is performed by an eye care practitioner, Stellest lenses should be recommended to children who:
Are starting to get Myopia
Are already Myopic
Have progressing Myopia
Results are from a prospective, randomized, double-masked, multicenter U.S clinical trial in myopic children aged 6-12 years at initiation of treatment.
Stellest will not give permanently corrected vision and cannot guarantee that your child’s prescription will not change as they grow. Encourage your child to wear their Stellest spectacle lenses consistently. It is recommended that your child wears the lenses for a minimum 10 hours per day for at least 6 days per week. This level of consistency slowed myopia progression by 71% on average.
