Dr. Charlene Henderson grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1992. Dr. Henderson earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1996 from the Illinois College of Optometry where she received an award for clinical excellence. She then practiced in Waterville, ME before moving to Charlotte in 2000 with her husband Bill. Dr. Henderson has twin boys and enjoys spending time with her family and many creative pursuits.
Dr. Tracy MacIntyre is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. There she completed her Bachelor’s degrees in science and in education at Dalhousie University. From there she went on to attend the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1998.
For the next three years, she worked at the world-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. As Instructor of Ophthalmology, and medical school faculty, she was the primary eye doctor for the Johns Hopkins Executive Health Program. In 2002, she and her husband moved to Charlotte. Dr. MacIntyre has two children and enjoys travel and spending time with her family.
Dr. Caitlin Rustemeyer is originally from Long Island, NY. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Comprehensive Science at Villanova University (sorry Tarheels basketball fans)! She then went on to attend Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2018 and was a recipient of an SCO Achievement Award. Dr. Rustemeyer specializes in sports vision training and is passionate in helping all level athletes
