Meet the Staff
Stacey Paguaga
Office Manager
Stacey has been helping patients see their best since 1994 and has proudly been part of the Blink Eyecare family since December 2014. With decades of experience in the optical industry, she's passionate about making every patient feel comfortable, confident, and excited about their eyewear. Before joining Blink, Stacey worked as an optician on Long Island, where she earned her New York Optician's License and became ABO certified. She has extensive experience with frame styling, progressive lenses, and safety and shooting eyewear, and loves helping patients find the perfect solution for their vision and lifestyle. As Office Manager, Stacey is the heart of our team. Her dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for others help create a welcoming environment where patients feel like family. She believes that the right pair of glasses can truly change someone's life, and she's committed to making every visit a positive, personalized experience. When she's not at Blink, Stacey enjoys spending time with her daughters, Alyssa and Maddy, friends and of course her dogs, Barkley and Charlie.
Allison Alexander
Front Desk Manager
Allison has over 30 years of experience in the medical field and over 20 years in the Optometry/Ophthalmology field. Along with her extensive knowledge, she also brings her remarkable people skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills to the Blink team. She is someone we can always count on and her vast set of skills allows her to pitch in wherever needed. In addition to reception, Allison also serves as our Special Services Coordinator which includes managing our Ortho-K program as well as our low-level light therapy program. Allison loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son, friends, and her dogs. She also loves to travel and enjoy live music.
Frida Montalvo
Optometric Technician
Frida joined our team in June 2021 but has been helping patients with their visual needs since 2017. Frida is attentive, kind, and has great attention to detail. Her calming presence puts any patient at ease. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her spare time, Frida loves spending time with family and eating sushi!
Yosberani Cadena
Optometric Technician
Yosberani joined the Blink family in February 2022. She came to the team with 5 years of experience as an optometric technician. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Yosberani is smart and hard working. She will always make sure her patients are well taken care of and comfortable. When she isn’t working, Yosberani likes to travel and spend time with her family.
Candie
Optometric Technician
Candie joined Blink Eyecare in March 2024, bringing 6 years of experience in eyecare. She is passionate about helping patients improve their vision and overall eye health. Known for being friendly, smart, efficient, organized, and dependable, Candie provides exceptional patient care with a warm and professional approach. Outside of work, Candie loves to travel with her family, friends, and dogs. Her dedication to patient care and her love for adventure with loved ones provide her with a perfect balance in life.
Meredith
Optician
Meredith joined Blink Eyecare in 2023 and has been an optician since 2014. She has a passion for helping patients find the perfect frame and stays current with the latest styles and trends in eyewear. Her dedication to personalized care ensures that every patient leaves feeling confident in their choice. Outside of work, Meredith runs her own cleaning business and stays busy with her 7-year-old son, Landon. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and is a fan of all things sports-related.
Maria Markwat
Practice Development Lead
After graduating from UNCC, Maria joined the team in 2020 as a technician; where she developed a strong foundation and firsthand experience with our patients. As her passion for helping the practice grow evolved, she transitioned into her current role as Practice Development Lead. Today, she focuses on expanding the practice by building meaningful relationships, identifying new opportunities, and supporting the team as it continues to grow. Her experience on both the clinical and business sides of Blink gives her a unique perspective that helps connect with our team, providers, and the community we serve. In her free time, Maria enjoys reading, baking, and hosting dinner parties.
Alison Leon
Optician
Alison is a Charlotte native who has been helping patients find their perfect eyewear since 2012. She joined the Blink Eyecare team as an Optician with a passion for combining expert optical knowledge with personalized care, ensuring every patient leaves feeling confident in both their vision and their style. Known for her friendly personality and attention to detail, Alison enjoys getting to know each patient and helping them choose frames and lenses that fit their lifestyle, visual needs, and personal taste. Whether she's making adjustments, troubleshooting eyewear concerns, or guiding patients through their options, she is committed to making every experience easy, enjoyable, and stress-free. Alison believes that great vision starts with listening. She takes pride in building lasting relationships with patients and helping them see-and feel—their very best. Outside of the office, Alison enjoys spending time with her friends and family, catching or performing in musical theatre, and exploring everything the Charlotte area has to offer.
Hannah Matos
Front Desk/Tech
Hannah is a Certified Paraoptometric (CPO) who has been working in the eye care field since 2021. She is passionate about helping people and strives to make a positive impact on every patient she meets. Outside of work, she is a devoted dog lover and enjoys playing live music around town whenever she has the opportunity. She is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to caring for patients and building lasting relationships.
